I always wanted to visit an asian country like India or Japan. Originally, my interest for those countries were the fauna and food (I really like monkeys and sushi, for example :D). But nowadays it's more than that, I'm interested by the fauna and food as well as the culture and religion.
Honestly, I don't know much about these countries, but I think India has a high level of endemism in its fauna, actually 33%. It means that this part of the species lives only in that country (wow...), and most of them are reptiles and amphibians.
In India, I'd like to learn about the culture, specifically what the animals means for the people and how they impact in human life. I've always had this image in my mind of monkeys around the temples (I love it, my 6th sense says me that I belong there, with the monkeys 😭😭).
If my travel would be for study or work, I'd probably choose Japan instead of India. This is because I'd like to learn their language and culture in general. Also, I could eat Japanese food for my entire life, like ramen, onigiri, sushi and stuff (ok, I fully embrace my otaku identity😐).
